"BOZO" - CH Courtwood Packer Player CGC 1/03/2001 - 4/16/2009 Bred by Sue Hahnen, Pam Schaar, Debbie Markstrom & Laura Edwards
Bozo got this name because at the time I considered it the perfect Irish Setter name as Irish Setters are such clowns and they have red hair. He was my first Show Dog, introducing me to the world of dog shows. He was finished to his CH by his breeder from the Bred By Exhibitor Class. Bozo is part of the impressive Courtwood "P" litter and the 6th to finish his Championship, helping give his sire CH Courtwood Inn Keeper ROM and dam CH Quinniver's Prime Suspect ROM their Record Of Merit awards.
We trained with him in field work, and occasionally specialed him as a Veteran. He has tons of prey drive and loves to run and swim. Bozo earned his 1st Junior Hunter Pass IN STYLE at the Irish Setter National Hunt Test and Walking Field Trial on 11/15/08. This was his FIRST TIME in any hunt test, and he had a great time.
He sired two litters to date. The first was with "Dana" - Kerrsienna Chicago Rave JW (a UK imported bitch) on 7/27/2004. His second litter was co-bred by Suzanne Menard and Georgianne Carney and is with "Pinkie" - BIS BISS CH Dancin' Brown Eyed Girl born on May 10, 2008. The litter has a Rolling Stones theme. Bozo's son "Winter" CH Dancin' Prelude to Winter JH March 2009 Best of Breed at 8 months - owned by Dr. Silvia and David Folts Winter finished his Championship at 14 months, now on to Obedience, Agility and Hunting! He finished his JH in January 2010!
